This Australian Fashion Label Has Just Been Resurrected
True Australian fashion girls will remember Mad Cortes—the edgy label that was big on the scene in the early noughties. In 2008, the label lost financial backing and unfortunately had to fold, but lucky for us, designer Mira Vukovic has resurrected the label.
If you flick through the label's past collections, you see a smattering of colour, and ruffles—feminine yet edgy all at once. Today, the label is starting fresh, with simple shapes, and a neutral colour palette. The collection speaks to minimalists, looking for pieces with a twist. A lace panel here, an exaggerated sleeve, or unexpected pleat.
It's a new chapter for the label, and we can't wait to watch it evolve in its second phase.
