This Will Be the Fashion Week Collection We Talk About for Years to Come
Today marked the official launch of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia, and Maticevski was the perfect designer to kick it off. Recognised for his close attention to detail, innovation, and expert craftsmanship, designer Toni Maticevski blew us away with his Resort 17 collection.
Dream-like gowns, blink-and-you'll-miss-them details like contrasting cuffs and linings, unexpected cut-outs and knots, and black laser-cut fabric perforated with beads, made this collection appear sexy and futuristic all at once.
The moments that took our breath away? A strapless canary yellow top with clever pleating (the pleats hide your arm entirely, making it appear as though you're wearing sleeves) paired with a matching pencil skirt, and the perfect black blazer upgraded with modern long ties that float behind as you walk.
