Mango Jeans Are My Best-Kept Secret—5 Expensive-Looking Styles Worth Shopping
Mango jeans are some of the best on the high street, and I spent hours in the changing room to find the five best styles.
It all started last year on a shopping trip with a friend. We headed into Mango to have a look around, and I came across a pair of jeans which would quickly become one of my most relied upon pairs. Over the years, I’ve tried on hundreds of jeans, and before this shopping day had shortlisted my favourite brands. Suddenly, a new high street brand joined the list, as I found my perfect pair of straight-leg jeans. Now, as we’re in the midst of bolstering our capsule wardrobes for the coming year, I headed in store to discover the best Mango jeans.
Florrie wears the Mango Matilda Jeans (£36)
The pair of jeans in question is the Matilda jeans. A medium-rise, straight-fit pair in a true blue wash that quickly became a key part of my wardrobe. To this day, I wear this pair at least once a week, and as such a hardworking and affordable addition, I set out to see if the rest of Mango’s collection lived up to this staple find.
Known for best-selling jackets, refined tailoring and expensive-looking styles, it comes as no surprise that Mango would have a stellar denim collection to match. Spending hours in a changing room isn’t the most enjoyable way to spend an afternoon, so I’ve done the hard work for you. From wide-leg silhouettes to slim-cut styles, I put the entire denim collection to the test, and whittled it down to 5 standout styles.

1. The Annie Jeans
Style Notes: Wide-leg jeans have quickly become one of the most popular cuts around, and a personal favourite of mine. Whether dressed up with boots or worn casually with trainers, the exaggerated silhouette of these jeans always brings a refined edge. The Annie Jeans are a true-to-size pair that has the perfect amount of drape. Whilst noted as low rise, I found these had more of a mid-rise feel. This pair comes in two colourways, a dark blue and deep indigo, both of which currently feature on my wish list.
Cut: Wide-Leg
Rise: Low-Rise
Sizes: 4-18

2. The New Mom Jeans
Style Notes: For those who prefer a slimmer cut, Mango has introduced a new mom jean style, which surprisingly impressed me. The classic mom jean cut is high waist, relaxed through the hip and leg, and softly tapers at the ankle. Mango follows this blueprint in creating this pair, and fit true to size. The length is slightly cropped, as it hits me at ankle length, and I am 5'2".
Cut: Mom
Rise: High-Rise
Sizes: 4-26

3. The Nikki Jeans
Style Notes: Whilst described as a straight leg jean, this pair sits closer to a wide leg thanks to the relaxed silhouette and seriously comfortable form. Whether heading to the office or putting together an off-duty weekend look, relaxed jeans are always my first port of call. Mango's Nikki jeans are timeless and versatile, pairing seamlessly with simple t-shirts and elevated tops alike. This pair fit true to size with a longer length hem.

4. The Sienna Jeans
Style Notes: Over the past few months, flared and bootcut jeans have been on the rise. Whilst I've already seen plenty of styles this season, this deep brown pair instantly drew all my attention. Here I've tried on my regular size, which fit neatly thanks to the slightly rigid denim, although I expect that they will soften with a few washes. The crop length hit me at the perfect place as I'm on the more petite side at 5'2", but may come up short on taller shoppers. Alongside the sleek brown shade, the Sienna also comes in a series of blue washes.

5. The Matilda Jeans
Style Notes: The Matilda jeans are the pair that kicked off my new infatuation with Mango denim. The straight-leg style is more fitted around the thighs with a looser finish at the hem. For me, I'd take an inch off the hem, but as a petite shopper, this is a common step in my denim journey. I'm not the only one who adores the Matilda jeans; this style comes back every season thanks to its popularity.
